With its smooth lines and small footprint, the stylish GlobeSurfer® X.1 from Option® is ideal for creating easy-to-use wireless and wired networks in the office, at home, or anywhere collaborative working is required. As a standalone device, this wireless cradle provides you with unparalleled LAN speeds of up to 160Mbps.

For easy Internet access, simply plug your current USB modem stick into the cradle and follow the USB Modem Internet Connection instructions. A second USB port offers additional high-end functionality such as Print Server and File Server for excellent local networking capabilities.

Two further Ethernet ports provide connectivity to users without wireless functionality. Connect a fixed line ADSL modem/router to an Ethernet port and you have an optional ADSL to 3G fail over solution.

Compact, discret et génial !!!

Ce petit routeur a/b/n est tout simplement génial. Essayé avec une clef Icon 225 du même fabriquant sur le réseau Bouygtel les débits sont assez bluffants et le down dépasse les 4Mb/s (il faut un très bon signal). Le boitier est très compact, assez jolie. L'interface admin s'atteint via la Web en local (avec un cable Eth fourni) et la configuration s'effectue en 2 minutes. Malgres que le boitier ne comporte pas d'antenne WiFi la portée surtout en 802.11n couvre les 100m2 de mon appartement sans altération. Bref un très bon produit et surtout une vrai alternative pour ceux qui ont des débits DSL médiocre car le Globesurfer est capable, raccordé un à modem DSL de faire du failover ! Par contre pas de prise FR, juste UK.

Small package!!!

Despite the delay in receiving my X1 from expansys, it was a doddle to set up and has been working very well for the past 20 months. I have used a succession of 3g sticks in it and generally have not encountered compatibility problems. The router does however reboot itself sometimes with heavy prolonged traffic but not sure if the problem has been the 3g stick or the router.Web browser GUI is simple, although a bit clunky and dated looking but the wizard allows for fast simple setup.
